Grace Osei: From Barista to Full-Stack Developer

Two years ago, Grace Osei was working as a barista in Accra, unsure how to break into the technology industry. Today, she is a full-stack developer building digital solutions for small businesses in Ghana.

"I had always been curious about technology, but I didn't see a path from where I was to where I wanted to be," Grace says. "The Next Switch Labs fellowship changed everything."

The 6-month fellowship provided Grace with intensive training in web development, mentorship from experienced engineers, and the opportunity to work on real client projects. Upon completion, she was offered a position on the Labs engineering team.

Grace is now building a platform that helps small businesses in Accra digitize their operations. "I'm not just building technology," she says. "I'm building tools that help other people build better futures."
